PALGERO – AT A GLANCE

1880, Ferdinand Mattis founded a textile wholesale company in Herford, East Westphalia, to supply Catholic nuns. Over the next decades, the company spread throughout Europe. Today, the name “Mattis” is an absolute seal of quality in this field.
With these extraordinary decades of textile competence, the new brand “Palgero” was founded in 2016. Palgero uses algae harvested from the pure fjords of Iceland in the production of its shirts. Palgero is a brand known for its particularly skinfriendly textiles made from brown algae fibres.

The pleasant, skinprotecting and health-promoting properties of algae are the basis of the SeaCell™ fibre. The extraordinary thing: The algae is firmly integrated into the fibre, its effect remains permanently intact. This is how SeaCellTM brings the power of nature back to humans – ecological, environmentally friendly and contemporary. The yarn obtained is spun exclusively for Palgero and ensures a pleasant feeling and natural regulation of the body temperature. The entire production process is environmentally friendly and produced sustainably.
